I don’t get the fascination with the story. There is an election in Quebec that could change the make-up of Canada and the OLG review was released damning the agency and retailers yet most of the headlines relate to the death of a stripper/drug abuser.

Last night we went out to Carey Ann’s place for dinner with her, Jeff, Craig and Jenn. After a great helping of of Thai food, Carey Ann surprised us with a cake celebrating our engagement.

We went out to the Madison Avenue Pub to celebrate the day with some friends… but my incredibly stuffed nose and pounding headache brought us home early. Now, mind you, we were at the pub at 2:30 this afternoon - we only managed to stick it out for about 3.5 hours.

Fiancé…I got to say, “my fiancé” for the first time. It put this big goofy grin on my face just saying it…”my fiancé”. Hopefully I’ll start to focus more on work, and less on the sparkly ring, soon Who am I kidding. It’s all about the sparkles for a while!

Earlier tonight I asked Leah to marry me.
She said, “Yes. Of course sweetie! Yes, yes, yes!!”

No, this is not a wedding announcement; just a post about a letter we received today that was addressed to us - sharing my last name.
In the past this would have been cause for some laughter, but no emotional involvement.
This time, however, I really liked the look of our names. A lot.
