WTF? I’m surprised that the rights holder to this song would allow a family restaurant/pub chain to use it. (In fact I’m surprised they would let anyone use it!) And frankly I’m a bit disappointed. Aside from a cash grab, what’s the point? It dilutes the brand – the Cheers brand – and in my opinion makes Kelsey’s seem cheesy.
And not in a good way.
There are lots of cheesy things from the 80′s & 90′s, that work well when resurrected for commercial purposes, but much like Miami Vice, this one should have been left alone.
