Am I missing something? Every time the topic of my 30th birthday comes up (February 2 for those keeping score at home) people make it out to be this grand event that should be celebrated, and shouted from the tops of mountains!!! To me, it’s just another birthday, just another day in the life.
So what am I missing? Will life be dramatically different for me on February 3? Will my pants no longer fit? Will my bank account be be larger? Do I gain X-Ray vision? What happens that makes turning 30 so important? I think it’s fair to say that most of the population (in Canada) make it to 30, so it’s not a rare event; but there must be something to it. Something tangible that makes people get all crazy!
