Leah and I are pleased to introduce Ewan to the world! Born at 12:20am on July 8, 2009.
7lbs, 5oz. 20.5″ long (or for the metric fans…. 3330 grams and 52 cm)
Mother and baby are both doing well.
Very funny movie.
More funny was the crowd at the Cineplex for the 5pm show. There was a fairly even split between thirtysomething’s and septuagenarians. It was very strange. Leah and I speculated that they were in the wrong theatre and that once the previews were complete and the movie started they’d all leave. But they [...]
On Friday evening Leah and I headed out to Port Credit to enjoy a night of music at the Mississauga Waterfront Festival. Tickets for the entire weekend were just $25, and if it weren’t for the rain on Saturday we would have been able to see Kathleen Edwards, Sam Roberts, Skydiggers and 54-40… among many [...]

Published by March 21st, 2009 in 2009, Chris and Leah, Music and Travel. 0 CommentsOn Thursday night Leah and I made the trek down the QEW to Niagara Falls. New York. It’s a different world on the US side of the Niagara River. More on this later…

27. Those streetcar drivers who assert themselves over the automated voice system with their own personal shout-outs for various intersections and attractions along their routes.
31. The inspirational messages [...]
Cadbury has placed an “interactive” billboard at Yonge-Dundas Square. The billboard features a giant Cadbury Creme Egg, a lever and fulcrum, a catch basin and a giant fan. The idea is that as rain and snow accumulate in the catch basin it will raise the egg into the spinning fan blades – thereby releasing the [...]
New Year’s Eve at The Devonshire Inn
Published by January 3rd, 2009 in 2008, Chris and Leah, Food & Wine, Goin' Out and Travel. 0 CommentsOn our return journeys from Kingston, Leah and I routinely detour through Prince Edward County. It’s by no means a short cut, but the scenery is nice, and the wine and hospitality are even better. We’ve commented that we’d like to go back for an overnight and stay at one of the numerous inns – so for [...]
CTV will be releasing a new movie about the
early life of Anne Shirley. Here’s what their
press release has to say:
Anne Shirley is one of the world’s most heartwarming iconic characters – but what happened before her surprising arrival at Green Gables in Prince Edward Island? This expansive new movie, which is both a prequel [...]
